The International Biennale of Contemporary Art “Autostrada Biennale” has the pleasure of announcing the international conference “Revolution Is Us – La Rivoluzione Siamo Noi” which will be held on 14 Dec. in Prishtina and 15 Dec in Prizren, Kosovo.

Autostrada Biennale, after its first successful 2017 edition, is organizing the annual Conference “We are the Revolution – La Rivoluzione Siamo Noi” on December 14-15 in Prishtina and Prizren.

After announcing the theme of second edition “We are the Revolution – La Rivoluzione Siamo Noi”Autostrada Biennale team and chief curator Giacinto Di Pietrantonio have started working on the next conference which will gather artists, curators, and potential partners such as heads of cultural, political and economic institutions in a panels that aims to address cultural issues through art, political and economic perspectives.

Through this conference, Autostrada Biennale aims to consolidate partnerships between public and private art institutions, artists and informal groups, through networking and exchange of experiences and ideas – with the shared goal, to stimulate the creation of new opportunities for expansion and revival of the artistic community in the region and beyond.
In the conference Autostrada Biennale team will publish its first book named “Autostrada Biennale: The Common Book” which aims to promote the biennial to the worldwide by having talks and events.

The presentation will be about on the idea of establishing the Autostrada Biennale and the activities carried out during the joint journey.
The whole discussion about the book will be focused on how the biennial has established the city and its citizens as a very important part of its organized events, by including them regardless of their nationality, religion or cultural backgrounds. This was the very purpose of the Biennial, namely breaking up and wiping out borders and taboos of our society.
Meanwhile we will discuss on how the biennial has come together with citizens and strategic partners and has created new spaces for art exhibitions, informal education, as well as discussions and reflections. How we have facilitated this platform in the name of freedom of expression, cultural exchange and critical thinking, with the purpose of maintaining inter-cultural and inter-ethnic tolerance, promoting democratic thought, preserving the environment, and appreciating cultural heritage.
