Meeting at the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities

6 May, 2019

Autostrada Biennale team met Ms. Terrie Rouse Rosario – Executive Director of The DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities and her staff.

The DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities (CAH) provides grants, professional opportunities, education enrichment, and other programs and services to individuals and nonprofit organizations in all communities within the District of Columbia. CAH is the leading voice for arts and culture in the city, with a mission of elevating the impact of the arts and humanities locally, nationally and internationally. The commission is governed by a volunteer board of Commissioners who are appointed by the Mayor and approved by the City Council. CAH is supported primarily by District government funds and in part by the National Endowment for the Arts.

The meeting was productive and the discussion was focused on the ways of partnership and collaboration on different fields.

The meeting was a continuation of the meetings foreseen in the IVLP program which is organized by The U.S. Department of State (DOS) and supported by U.S. Embassy Pristina, Kosovo.

Many thanks to the U. S. Department Of State through their International Visitor Leadership Program and the DC Office of the Secretary of the District of Columbia for helping to arrange this special visit!
