We are pleased to host Brilant Milazimi as our artist-in-residence at Autostrada Hangar – Center for Contemporary Art in Prizren.

During his one-month residency, Brilant will further develop his artistic research in close dialogue with the space and the local context. He is also one of the participating artists of the 5th edition of Autostrada Biennale curated by Erzen Shkololli @erzenshkololli

About Artist: ​Brilant Milazimi (b. 1994, Gjilan, Kosovo) is a contemporary visual artist based in Prishtina. He studied visual arts at the University of Prishtina and is known for his expressive, surreal paintings that explore themes of identity, memory, and the psychological landscape of post-war Kosovo. His work often features exaggerated figures, symbolic elements like teeth and animals, and a raw, intuitive aesthetic that blends personal and collective narratives. ​

Milazimi has exhibited internationally, with solo shows at venues such as Ermes-Ermes in Rome, LambdaLambdaLambda in Prishtina, and Kurimanzutto in New York. He has also participated in group exhibitions at Manifesta 14 in Prishtina, the Ludwig Museum in Budapest, and Galleria Continua in Paris. In 2020, he received the "Artist of Tomorrow" award and has completed residencies in New York and Paris.

Currently, Milazimi is an artist-in-residence at Autostrada Hangar – Center for Contemporary Art in Prizren, where he is developing new work in preparation for his participation in the 5th edition of Autostrada Biennale.
