Following the methodology of local conversation through art, the public program is based on the potential of reciprocal change triggered by hospitality, how the host changes the guest and vice versa. Co-habitation, horizontality, recovery and reciprocity will be our guiding questions. The public program will consist of conversations online and offline between artists and communities that have been hosting and situating the artworks.
The curatorial position of the 3rd Autostrada Biennial comes from a strong belief in artistic agency building social imaginary; where art produces, inspires and creates meaning in relation to different parts of society. The works realised in the framework of the biennial are situated in a mutual learning process shaped around daily concerns and struggles of the local communities.
