Autostrada Biennale at Demanio Marittimo.KM-278 Italy

Autostrada Biennale had the pleasure to participate in the unique event, Demanio Marittimo.KM-278 in Italy!

Co-founding Directors Vatra Abrashi and Leutrim Fishekqiu presented the Autostrada Biennale and the creation of the Autostrada Hangar on the beautiful beach of Marzocca-Senigallia.
This special event lasted 12 hours, from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., and was dedicated to art, architecture, design, performance, installation and cinema and was curated by Cristiana Colli and Pippo Ciorra.

The theme of this edition, Rovine&Ripari, proposes to connect Marzocca to contemporary phenomena and concepts. From one side, explore the accelerated production of ruins caused by wars, disasters, and the rapid passage of time in Western culture, which turns any site into archaeology. On the other hand, it highlights the growing need to find new forms of shelter and protection for communities and increasingly fragile individuals, linking the concept of shelter with that of repair, meant as an antidote to overconsumption, compensation and mitigation of inequalities.

The XIV edition of this event also had the patronage of the Embassy of the Republic of Kosovo in Italy. We were delighted to participate in the festival together with the Ambassador of Kosovo in Italy - Ms. Lendita Haxhitasim, Mayor of Prishtina - Perparim Rama, Alex Fisher, artists Sislej Xhafa, Artan Hajrullahu and Blerta Hashani.
