Autostrada Biennale is thrilled to announce that, in celebration of our 10th anniversary, we have become members of the International Biennial Association (IBA), a global network dedicated to advancing contemporary art.

This announcement comes following the participation of Autostrada Biennale Co-founding Directors Leutrim Fishekqiu, Vatra Abrashi, and Barış Karamuço in the 11th General Assembly of the IBA, which took place in Lyon, France. The IBA serves as a vital platform for curators, artists, and institutions organizing biennials worldwide, promoting collaboration and the exchange of knowledge across cultures and contexts.

As an international biennale that takes place every two years, Autostrada Biennale is excited to join this global network and continue building on our legacy of promoting creativity and inclusion. Beyond our biennial exhibitions, we proudly operate Autostrada Hangar, our Center for Contemporary Art. This unique space offers exhibitions, a production facility, and a residency for artists. Looking ahead, Autostrada Hangar will collaborate with biennales worldwide that are members of the IBA, offering joint programs that will deepen our international connections and foster artistic exchanges on a global scale.
