Maria Lind in conversation with Joanna Warsza and Övül Ö. Durmuşoğlu

We were pleased to have a conversation with Maria Lind, a Swedish curator, art writer, and educator.

She shared her amazing journey and the valuable practices she implemented during her time as the director of Tensta konsthall from 2011 to 2018. She led a significant transformation of the institution, creating a new way for arts organizations. They became deeply connected to their local area, while still being part of the global art world. She described her approach as a two-part strategy that involved doing more where they already were.

In this inspiring talk, Lind spoke enthusiastically about her work and experiences with the Tensta team, artists, artworks, and incredible creations.

Tensta konsthall is an important place for modern art in Stockholm. The gallery works closely with artists from Sweden and other countries, often collaborating with local groups in the area. The gallery's program is carefully planned with input from the artists themselves.

Our talk with Maria Lind ended with a question and answer session with the audience. Afterwards, curators Joanna Warsza and Övül Ö. Durmuşoğlu shared their final thoughts, ideas, and questions.
