In Avilés, Spain, for the Opening of Bienal Climática
Congratulations to Bienal Climática on the opening of its inaugural edition, Rehearsing the Unexpected, and our sincere gratitude to Amanda Masha Caminals and the entire team for inviting us to participate in the Professional Days in Avilés, Asturias. It was a privilege to witness the launch of this ambitious platform, which thoughtfully brings together art, ecology, industry, and territory while fostering spaces for collective reflection and exchange.
Our presence in Avilés extends the dialogue fostered during the Closing Programme of the 5th edition of Autostrada Biennale, organized in collaboration with the International Biennial Association (IBA), where directors and representatives of biennials from across the region gathered in Prizren to exchange ideas and perspectives. It was a pleasure to welcome Amanda Masha Caminals to Prizren and to continue these conversations during the opening days of Bienal Climática.
As founders and directors of Autostrada Biennale, we value these encounters as essential moments for strengthening international networks and cultivating meaningful collaborations. Such exchanges reaffirm the role of biennials not only as exhibition platforms, but also as spaces for dialogue, solidarity, and the shaping of new cultural imaginaries. We look forward to continuing these conversations and exploring future collaborations across borders.
