In a world where art and politics collide, mix and reveal the most intriguing ways. In our workshop, ‘Unmasked Politics: Lies as an Attitude’, we will explore the interweaving of these two fields that seem to be opposite. This workshop is an opportunity for participants and artists to define, confront and question the complex relationship between politics, the social dimension and art.

"Unmasked Politics: Lies as an Attitude" aims to provide a platform for participants to dig into political, social issues by highlighting truth, lies and deceptions in the real world. They will learn to use art as a tool for commentary and criticism, examining the sensitive narratives of society through various artistic instruments.

This workshop encourages participants and artists to think outside the box, pushing the boundaries of their creative expressions to detect temporal nuances. Collaboration and interdisciplinary interaction are essential for exploring complex topics. Participants will be encouraged to combine different artistic forms to create a multifaceted experience.

* Participants will explore different artistic techniques and their potential.

* Interdisciplinary groups will be formed to create artistic projects that observe political, social themes where they reveal hidden truths and play with the art of lying and the power of invisibility.

*During the workshop, we will encourage critical discussions on the relationship between art, politics and lying.

"Unmasked Politics: Lies as an Attitude" is an initiative that challenges the norms and expectations about the interaction of art and politics It illuminates the complexity of political narratives, aims to uncover the truths, and to learn art as imagination where the lie as a consequence takes shape through creativity.

Who can apply?

The workshop is open to all participants from Kosova, starting from the age of 18, where we encourage men and women from all communities to apply.

The workshop for participants is offered for free. This workshop is supported by the U.S. Embassy in Prishtina and co-financed by the Municipality of Prishtina.

The workshop "Unmasked Politics: Lies as an Attitude" will be held on November 6, 2023 starting at 12:30 in Prishtina at the National Library of Kosovo "Pjeter Bogdani.", which will continue on the bus during the journey and will end at 17:00 in Prizren at the Autostrada Biennale Hangar.

Detailed agenda:

11:00 Departure from Prizren to Prishtina for participants from the Prizren region by bus organized by Autostrada Biennale (meeting point: Autostrada Hangar in ITP Prizren)

12:15 Arrival in Prishtina to the National Library where all participants will gather

12:30-13:15 Start of the workshop with Sislej Xhafa inside the National Library (Session 1)

13:20 Departure to Prizren

13:30-14:30 Continuation of the workshop on the bus (Session 2)

14:30-15:15 Lunch and coffee at Autostrada Hangar

15:15-17:00 Continuation of the workshop at Autostrada Hangar, the final part (Session 3)
