Opening Of 4. Autostrada Biennale In Prishtina

We love to deal with difficult sites, in other words sites with loaded memories and histories. When we work with them we are very aware that images may disappear but songs, poems, memories won’t.

Brick Factory is one of these sites, not properly cared and looked at in the last decade. A production house that produced bricks for all over Yugoslavia that stopped production in the beginning of 2000s. Through the works of Agnes Denes "Sunflower Fields" (2021-ongoing) and Hera Büyüktaşcıyan’s "Who Speaks From the Dust, Who Looks From the Clay" (2023) we desired to bring in another life, another search and respect for memories through the artistic. They both ask not only for the new source of water but also new source of vitality and fluidity for the city.

We are thankful to the Mayor of Pristina Mr. Rama for his support and commitment. The projects in Pristina are supported by Pristina Municipality, U.S. Embassy in Pristina, UNDP and many partners and supporters of this edition.

The excitement continues as our exhibition sites remain open until September 9. So mark your calendars and join us!
