Creative Workshops for Children at Autostrada Hangar: Learning Through Making
The Education Studio at Autostrada Hangar has become a space where children learn through creating, experimenting, and collaborating. Through a series of creative workshops, participants have had the opportunity to work with wood using professional machines certified according to European child safety standards, transforming their ideas into tangible creations.
Throughout the workshops, children designed and built a variety of wooden toys and objects, experiencing every stage of the creative process—from the initial idea to the finished product. Along the way, they developed practical skills, worked together in teams, and learned the value of collaboration, creativity, and problem-solving.
The program is based on the principles of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics), offering children a hands-on learning experience that encourages creative and critical thinking, hand–eye coordination, concentration, and self-confidence.
At a time when children are spending more and more time in front of screens, these workshops provide a meaningful environment where imagination, hands-on making, and learning come together. Every creation reflects a process of exploration, experimentation, and the joy of building something with their own hands.
Autostrada Hangar will continue developing educational programs that nurture children’s creativity while introducing them to design, technology, and art through direct, hands-on experience.
We thank BENMAKER for their collaboration and support in making this program possible.
